Indiana University East 3h · Indiana University East’s School of Education will soon provide certification and training for virtual instruction to 62 elementary and secondary school teachers from 42 districts across East Central Indiana, and brings with it the potential to positively impact over 60,000 students. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week we held a Drone Licensing Workshop here at the Service Center. Everyone in attendance echoed the same remarks: "We had no idea that there is so much covered in the FAA Part 107 UAV Certifiaction Exam."
We have a capacity crowd for today's workshop, "Dyslexia: What Educators Need to Know." This workshop is presented by Joellyn Hartley and covers the new Dyslexia Law.
Today's workshop is titled "The Heartbeat of Number Sense." Attendees are learning to help K-2 students become fluent in math from presenters Ginnie Luce and Ginger Smith.
Andy Wallace did an excellent job presenting our Technology Kits last Thursday. Now everybody that attended is able to schedule the kits to come to their schools for use by their students.

Amy Leeson is presenting Preparing for ILEARN Science: Grades 4, 6 and Biology to a packed house today. Attendees are learning about DOK, exploring ILearn Resources and where to find them, and collaborating with colleagues to refine curriculum and instruction.
Amanda Rinehart is presenting Autism 101: Characteristics and Strategies today. Attendees are learning ways to modify classroom resources and curriculum to meet students' need. They are also receiving a wealth of other information on Autism.

We are having a great time today learning about Essa with Jennifer Kwiatkowski and Daniel Bundridge from EdgEd Consulting. Today will conclude the second of a two workshop where a school or district planning team learned to use their own data to create and/or revise a School Improvement Plan that will ensure success for all students.
